Lights, camera, creativity! The Short Film Competition invites teams to  showcase powerful storytelling through visual art. From fiction to documentary, drama to humor, participants can explore any theme and bring their ideas to life on screen. Rules & Regulations

Film Duration

  • Maximum duration is 6 minutes, including opening and end credits.

  • Films exceeding the specified time limit will be disqualified.

Originality

  • The film must be completely original.

  • Plagiarism or reuse of footage from other creators is strictly prohibited.

  • Participants must own full rights to all components of the film, including:

    • Script

    • Music

    • Footage

    • Characters

    • Artwork

Theme & Adherence
  • Theme: Escaping monotony

  • The storyline must clearly align with the given theme.

  • Judges may evaluate entries based on how effectively the theme is interpreted and presented.

Content Restrictions

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Graphic gore or violence

  • Explicit sexual content

  • Hate speech

  • Defamation or negative portrayal of real individuals

  • Racist, sexist, homophobic, or discriminatory material

  • Promotion of extremist ideologies

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum resolution: 1080p or higher

  • Accepted formats: MP4 (H.264) or MOV

  • Audio: Stereo sound

  • Aspect ratio: 16:9, unless specified otherwise

Subtitles

  • English subtitles are mandatory.

  • Subtitles must be clear and readable; a white font with a black outline is recommended.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on the following parameters:

  • Storytelling

  • Creativity and originality

  • Cinematography

  • Acting

  • Editing and sound design

  • Relevance to the theme

  • Overall impact

Short Film – Event Registration Guidelines

Registration Authority

**Only designated Company HRs or official representatives are authorized to handle participant registrations.**

Registrations must be approved and submitted through the respective company representative.

Unique Registrations

Each company is allowed only one registration for the group event and a maximum of two for individual events.

In case of multiple submissions, the first valid entry will be considered final.

Event Venues

All events will be conducted in and around Technopark, across designated venues including:

Finalization of Registration

Registrations will be confirmed only upon the successful payment of any applicable registration fees.

Late entries will not be entertained after the official registration deadline.

Participant Registration Limit

Participants can register for multiple events, but overlapping event schedules will not be adjusted.

Team-based events require a minimum number of participants as specified per event.

Minimum Registrations

Each event requires a minimum of 4 team/individual registrations to proceed.

If an event does not meet the minimum requirement, it may be rescheduled or canceled.

Communication of Changes

Any updates regarding event postponements, cancellations, or rescheduling will be communicated to participants via official channels.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued once the registration is completed.

Refunds will only be considered if the event is canceled by the organizers.

Event Conduct & Fair Play

Participants are expected to uphold the spirit of the event, fostering camaraderie and collaboration.

Judges’ decisions are final and binding in all competitions.

Organizer’s Authority

Natana reserves the right to modify or interpret the event rules as necessary.

Any form of misconduct, misrepresentation, or violation of the guidelines may lead to disqualification.
